VXR8 Trashed

Recently my Supercharged VXR8 was trashed, while parked outside my property. The Fire Brigade believe the Plonker used Nitros. This has totalled the Paintwork, both front headlights and rear cluster lights, rear light cluster quarter panels (looks like they are a form of plastic). Drivers and Passenger side door rubber seals.

I live in the North of the Country, now looking for a Company that can completly re-furbish the bodywork and Custom Spray Paint and Airbrushing. Also trying source the front HID Light units, which I believe comes as one, the Nitros has destroyed the lens covers. Similar damage to both rear light clusters. The quarter panels fitted around the rear light clusters which has melted. The door rubber (seals) have been destroyed.

I have spent quite a lot modifying the car, so it came as a shock to find Nitros had been poured all over the Bodywork. I have CCTV images but as usual the "Hoodie" played its part, although I am considering putting up a sizeable reward on Crime Stoppers, to see if any of his "friends" spill the beans.

If any member knows where I can source these parts, I would be very gratefull. Unfortunately VXR8 parts are very difficult to source. The vehicle is a 07/08 Model VXR8 Auto.

Wow. That sucks.

Pistonheads usually advertise top end vehicle breakers. Might also be an idea to see if you can get any second hand parts from Australia.

For new parts give Autovaux a try - Low cost Vauxhall parts, Vauxhall spares and Vauxhall accessories - Autovaux est to call them though.

wow. what a ****in knobhead! i hope you find him and pour it down his throat! hate people who damage other peoples cars out of pure jealousy! as somebody said, maybe parts from australia might be a better option. good luck with this mate and hope you get it sorted soon. love these cars btw

Thanks for the info, spent a small fortune on modifying the car with Monkfish Performance ... beautiful to drive took it for test drive down to Italy ... fastest I went 180mph+ Im guessing the plus because my eyes was riveted on the road ... the mountain passes were scary

thanks for the message ... apart from the damage the paint stripper was all over the road and footpath. Police were so concerned they called in the fire brigade to wash the road/path. It was that time of the morning when kids were going school, I know the stuff was so potent it burnt my hands and arms when I was trying wash the car down.

These idiots have no brains, they see someone with a nice car (which I have worked hard to save for) the red mist comes over them and they get a great deal of satisfaction destroying other people property.... I am great believer what comes around goes around ... I have offered a sizeable reward ... lets see how long it takes for someone to spill the beans. I am convinced sooner rather than later he/she will brag to someone what they have done .... tick tock ....

Here's hoping they get caught. Unfortunately they'll end up with a fine they can't pay and 50 hours of community service they won't do. Just a shame we're not allowed to nail them to the pillory anymore.
