Side Sills on a Cavalier MK3

    Hi Chaps
I want to get the sills replaced on the cavvy I have. They are not rusty, just a bit of battle damage

I think it is only the skins that need replacing due to cosmetic damage. I can pick them up for around £12 a side. Any ideas how much it costs to get them replaced?

I am not worried about getting them painted, just needs to be done so then I can get the whole car acid dipped and treated.

If anyone Nr York fancies getting paid some cash to do it at my house, let me know.

I have all the equipment needed to do it, but I have the talent lacking

£30 a side is what the bodyshop i walked in would have charged. That's just to weld in and grind smooth.

Oh it is not too bad then. I take it as it takes about an hour a side to do based on the £30 charge per side?

You just want the old one cut off leaving the edges and the new one put on? Might take a bit longer than a hour...

I am not sure what is involved in replacing it. But yeah, I guess so, I want to get them replaced.
