    Advice on 2k clear

I have recently painted my plastic bumper trim, with 2k acrylic satin black and although they look good, I think a gloss might be better. Can I just key the surface and apply a few coats of clear? I just want to know that I’ll still get adhesion and the clear wont later flake off, as the base is now totally set!!!!!
    Thanks.

You'll need to add some colour on as a base for adhesion for the lacquer.

Ask where you are buying the clear from, I'm pretty sure you will be fine just keying the existing paint then putting the clear over that. Like what bodyshops do when they have to blend repairs.

What you have already put down is not basecoat anyway.
