Hadrian's scrap MK3 Astra 3dr Qtr panel Press!!!

As above hadrian can no longer supply 3dr qtr panels for the MK3 astra (GSI) as they have now scrapped their press, I believe they still sell arch repair sections but for how much longer is anyones guess, this means that all GSi's out there are now on a slippery slope to the scrap yard, Hadrian's (LMC?) were the only company in the uk that were supplying aftermarket panels and I dont believe they can be sourced else where.

The point of this post is raise awareness and if anyone know's different to me from experience or checking it out, Please post here, I'm in need of 2 qtr panels myself, as this point in time it looks grim

I know mk2astra.com had a group buy going for a limited run of mk2 astra quarters from hadrains but the minimum number was 150 pairs which lets fact is is going to be fairly difficult to fill.

my thought's exactly, The same thing happened with the Escort, but you can get panels again for that as it such a popular car, will anyone actually bother with the mk3, as much as I love it, I doubt it will ever get the same status as the escort

Why would they scrap it?

Its all to do with turnover mate,
a steel press is massive,
and you need one for each side of the car,
Imagine how many cars they make panels for, they need the space to keep up with new models that they have a demand for replacements, no one had ordered a qtr for the mk3 for nearly 2 years, now were all in the mire.

Like you say it would be difficult and thats are MK2, Now its impossible!! There not gonna manufacture a new press for the mk3, Does anyone speak german?? I thing we need to investigate abroad now before its too late, It may already be

Cleveland Panels, they do repair sections but not full qtrs,

also Beaver panels are back up under new management..

Beavers Body Panels I need to ring them though as they list the mk3 but show any panels..

I would say that Cleveland panels probably get their panels from Hadrian judging by the fact they also don't list left hand inner wing outriggers for a Mk1 Astra.

a friend of mine drove to germany and picked up i believe 2 full rear quater panels for a mk2 gte so surely the same can be done for the mk3?

im not so fussed any more as i might be getting rid of every thing vaux i own so...

I managed to get the last one that autovaux had. A genuine panel for £181.11 3door model. I did enquire at vauxhall and they wanted £375 a side, which had to be ordered from germany.

I got my Manta sills and jacking points from TJM, good service.

I spoke to a guy at castleford bout panels for my 2i and he said one of their main suppliers who makes the panels has actually gone under!!

I have to say I'd pay that for a perfectly shaped panel, considering it's quite a large panel anyway. Glad they still have them in.

They DONT, He said that was the last one, I asked them to check and they cant get them.

NO INNER ARCHES EITHER! Outer arch repair sections are still available but no inner, The guy from Clevelands suggested I got 2 outer arches and made an inner from one! This is becoming a right pain!
