Why didn't you take the cap and bolt out?

I dare any of you to tell me you wouldn't let this upstanding young citizen slob on your knob like corn on the cob.

That was an old cap put on to paint it with , didn't want paint where the cap screws on , and I wanted the bolt and washer the same colour .
Was thinking of taking the bolt out and painting it black but left it the same colour .

Trouble is when you take the cap off the bit underneath will still be White, nice colour needs a couple more coats by the look of the cam belt cover

Nope , it wont , the cap has a recess for the paint and putting a cap on just stops paint going where the cap screws on .

Remove the cap and it will be Black on the sealing face

I didn't want to paint where the cap goes . Remove cap and it's only the sealing face that hasn't been painted .
Was just an old cap I had lying about .
