Question Help needed on rollcage backstays!

Have welded in the spreader plates on my project rally corsa for the front and main loop, have followed the dimmensions and diagrams as stated in the MSA blue book and have had no problems.

For the life of me I cannot work out what they want for the backstay mountings other than the plate being 60cm2.

Some pictures of other fits would be nice.

Hope to get a project thread going soon just going very slow due to work comitments
    Thanks in advance

Re: Help needed on rollcage backstays!

The front and middle floor plates are 120cm2 if i remember right. And the rear stays are only plated 60cm2 larger than the footplate

IE' 3cm all the way around... Its been a while but i had it all written down at one point.

The blue line is the cage footplate, red line is the smallest the spreader plate can be, and the next blue line just to stop me going too far when cleaning the paint up for welding

Not sure this is going to help you, But to be fair as long as the load bearing points in the floor are adequate all the stays really do is stop the main hoop folding backwards. Just make the plate a few cm bigger than the cage foot and it'l be fine.
