    Some Of My Recent Welding/Fab Work............

    Started this post as i think it would be nice for people to show the fab work they are working on or doing at the moment.
    here are some photos of my Welding/Fab work i have had in the past few weeks.
    Really enjoy welding and always trying to get better, As there are some awsome welders out there.
    Any Advice people can give or if anyone would like any advice, feel free to comment/ask. Sorry for the bad photo quality taken on my iphone.

    Some Tophats for both C20LET's and Z20LET's






    Corsa C Z20LET conversion in for full 2.5" Exhaust and boost pipe setup






    4 - 1 T3 Turbo Collector



    Next Car in for work Astra VXR for full 3" Exhaust and 2.5" boost pipes with front mount intercooler.


    Comments welcome, will try and keep on with updates if they are interested....

    very nice mate, all types of welding and fabrication interest me, theres nothing better than the satisfaction of finishing a perfect weld would love to get a tig, but just cant justify it for just me

    I bought a MIG welder 4 years ago - managed to set two cardboard boxes alight so far and thats been about it lmao

    My uncle is a pro welder - has his own business and has been welding for over 40 years - he loves it.

    Have to admit i fooking love welding - no where near neat enough to show people yet tho lol. Thats some really nice looking fab there.

    Excellent idea for a thread

    I hate welding. But still do it. Here are the towers i had to make out of 4mm in order to fit the cage into my nova a few weeks back









    And some Rare "before seam sealer" pics. (Full welding not finished in these pics due to proximity to the fuel tank)









    Not the neatest work but im no welder. Just knew i couldnt really be a nova enthusiast without one.

    Also made a couple of inlet manifolds for my carbs... This is the neatest (after smoothing the welds). But it works and only cost about £15







    Id love to have a go with a tig sometime

    Tophat i made for Joe-2LT off here not bad to say he only send me a few drawing where he wanted the outlet etc to go, think it fits really well.....

    Update on the Astra VXR.......
    Intercooler all setup in its place.


    Boost Pipes all mocked up and test fitted, alittle in happy with not able to make the pipe 100% straight as there it a water pipe setup in the way.



    Full 3" Exhaust setup from Turbo Back





    Not bad weld for overhead, 6G style


    My Weapon of choice, I Love this old girl


    Small shot of my workshop mid build.



    Just need to weld around everything, weld in lamba bungs and weld on some hangers.

    Loving the Hobart! I use a Hobart beta mig 320 at work, must be nearly as old as me, but much prefer it to the new kempi rig I had too trial.

    some of my recent exhaust work tig welded...







    what lpm do people use for purging on exhausts? ive been using 3/5 lpm at the min didnt know weather that would be enough?

    not realy done any of this before but my truck needed some new foot steps and couldent buy any pannels so had to make them



    and all cleaned and primed
