went and seen a guy today he says i need a new arch. i thought it could be sanded and painted but im no expert so any ways he says if i get the arch he will do it for £150 the way he said get a vauxhall one kind of made me think does he mean there are ones out there that are bad fit or what couple pics provided

im no expert mate but that looks like it could just b sanded down and repainted mate as it looks like its just surface rust mate
that looks repairable,sand with 1200grit wet and dry,sand a good bit back beyond the rust parch and treat with hammerite krust or similar product,then filler prime prime and get a paint match to your car,
just did my vectra ones till i get enough money together for a full spray over
that will defo repair maten just make sure you get all the rust sanded out or it will come back through.
Hi there, Im an expert body repairer and I cant believe you've been told you need a new arch! theres 2 hours work there to get that looking factory fresh!
Advise:
It will need to be taken back to bare metal to ensure it wont return also try not to use aerosols it will look terrible and its not a durable finish.
thanks for the info guys just as i thought i didnt need new arch. guy must be trying to pull the wool over my eyes. i wont be doing it myself cos the car is immaculate and i polish and wax it very often so i want it done right so if anyone knows good places to go in ayrshire glasgow area then please let me know
