Where did you get the paint from? Metallic is normally meant to have clear on top, but there are some really old paints that didn't have. Unfortunately if you were supposed to put clear on and you left it longer than 24 hours the clear you do eventually put on may not take that well. All you can do is give it a go and hope for the best.

hi thanks got paint from london england and wasnt advised to clearcoat, just want to buff up but dont want to mess it up. paint 2 weeks ago. no problem another couple top coat if need a clear. will ring supplier up. finish very good but needs to shine thanks bill
Yes I think you need to contact the supplier, 99.9% of metallic sold these days needs clear on top. You are right you can just flat what's there and put more metallic on then your clear in the right time window.

supplier says farcella 10 gently, dont us3e celly clear doesnt last and 2 pack deadly thanks bill
farecla 10... just ebay 'g10 polish' or pop to your local motor factors.it doesnt have to be ferecla, just the grade of polish (the 10 bit)that matters, its just a finish polish.. good luck with it
