Rocker cover colouring
Right had my rocker & cam cover acid dipped, I now want them white but what is the best way to go about this, Paint or powder coating ?
If i go for paint what about temps on rocker as they do get warm, do i need primer etc.
or if i go for powder coating what about the inside of the rocker cover, is it not wise to get it on the inside ?
any advice will be great,
many thanks..

Re: Rocker cover colouring
Normal paint is fine and you get more choice of colours.
Powdercoating is tougher finish and less likely to flake or scratch. You can get powdercoat that is oil and heat resistant and is fine on the underside if properly prepared... or you can mask it off if you prefer. I've run both and never had a problem. If the person doing the powdercoating uses a water trap you'll get less overspray.
Be sure to put a bolt in each of the spark plug cover bolt holes too, to save the thread inside.

Re: Rocker cover colouring
Normal car paint and primer is fine! Loads of people have done it
The rocker doesn't get much hotter than the underside of the bonnet anyway

Re: Rocker cover colouring
Use etch primer mate on the bare metal
