A slightly more darker shade of blue would have looked even better I think, and glossy paint.
if it wasn't for the earth , there wouldn't be any universe, mother earth gave birth to all the creation! and without the earths gravitational pull, the sun and the moon would have long gone adrift!

Well you didn't seem to pay any attention to all the people saying use hammerite in your other thread so what do you expect? It gives a smooth finish, no brush marks. It's very glossy, hard wearing and has no problems at all on lots of C20LET engines.

You dont even need to go to half the effort you went to to get a decent finish. Just a quick blast with the wire wheel attachment on a drill and you're ready for paint.

No disrespect to you and i'm not calling you a liar, but i used hammerite in my engine bay, and tbh its sh*** brush marks everywhere and doesn't look especially shiney either if i'm honest.

Did you use smooth-finish? Or just regular hammerite?

This is how the smooth finish dries on a floor...

    And on suspension...

    Get the idea lol?

With patience you can get it perfect. I don't care much myself, as it's not seen when fitted anyway!

Needs at min another coat. Maybe two to get it darker.

My Let block, one coat of Hammeright with Halfords rattle can on the core plugs.

I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.

i think it was smooth buddy, but not certain. i'm plannin on 4x4 my corsa next wont be paintin the prop tho lol. I've now discovered that the paint i have can only be brushed on for the first coat, despite being told its ok to be brushed on so now looking for different paint, really want the proper heat resistant stuff tho cos am fussy lmao

i dont wanna spray it buddy, to much stuff in the garage that i'd have to cover, and too many bolt holes to mask off.

my x20xev painted with dark blue hammerite smooth, looks the danglies and is easy to put on, not half as much prep as there would be if you were doing it with cans

and it still looks like that now nearly a year on

Just a tin of hammerite smooth, Light blue. Think i got it from homebase @ £8 medium sized tin. Actually used not even a quarter of it so maybe a smaller tin FTW
