thats a good guide. but why cant the oringinal corsa beam be redrilled to fit the hubs
because the bolt pattern for the new rear hubs is wider than the standard corsa pattern
You'll need to do this for the nuts to clear the beam.

I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
ye i no its wider. do the conversion plates weld on top of the standard plate
Yes.

any pics of that. do the hubs bolt into any of the original holes
cut off the standard plates then tack on conversion plates,ul have to make sure its in the centre of each hole,if you using abs mk4`s ul need to drill to 60mm in the centre also cut a slit out the axle then bend back and weld to the outer conversion plate lip
is there no other way of doing it as i dont fancy my wheels held of with plates ive welded in
no ur only welding on a plate the actual hub itself it bolted onto the back of the axle so its safe
i still dont get it lol. so i weld the plate ontop of the plate that is already in the beam. i need pics lol
no mate.cut off the corsa plate from the beam then weld on the conversion plate,im doing mine end of week pal il take some set by set pics
ye thats what i mean. my hubs will be held on by plates that iv welded on. so if my welding is ****e my wheels fall of
there's a plate welded on the beam already, you need to cut that off with a slitting disc and hamer n chisel.
then weld the big block plate over the top.
another option is to use CorsaC 1.7CDTI rear hubs as they are 5 stud and smaller bolt spacing, which may be the same as CorsaB.
You'll need to mix and match brakes then to get somethign that works, or use the Corsa C complete setup with Cable operated handbrake.

No, as the hub is bolted thru the beam, as you can see in my pic. The plate is spacing and lining up wise.

ok i guess its simple but i dont get it lol. benn do you have any more pics
What dont you get?
On the beam, you have a spacing/bolt hole plate that's welded to the beam, you cut this off and replace it with the plate from the beam that runs the discs you wanna fit. As it has the holes in the right place and is the right spacing. You weld this on (if you cant, get a welded too) then you can fit the hub on and you'll see (like in my pic) you'll need to make a bit more space for the nuts that hold the hub on.
Any better?
Adding in, you can see here the plate that's welded on.

i must be missing something. the way i see it i cut the bolt hole plate of and weld on the new 1 so basicly my wheels are held on with a welded plate
No! The plate isn't holding anything on!
The 4bolts that go thru the from the hub hold the wheel on.

do you have a pic of the axle before the plate was welded on
Well the same as the pic above, but the outer plate will be a bit thinner.

ok. i no the bolts are ofset, but why cany i redrill the original corsa plate to the patern of the bigger hubs
Cause they are bloody thick, and the plate acts like a spacer too.

ok im stupid. ban me now. it looks in your pic that you have welded the plate ontop of the corsa/nova plate. so i just dont understand what i cut of. sorry for been thick
