I sprayed a number of bits of plastic trim on the Cally. After several failed attempts I got it primed by a local bodyshop as the primer had to be an acid etch primer in order to give enough purchase for the base coat. Anything else just flakes off.
Never used this particular product and it doesn't say whether it is an acid etch but I would guess that if it's a DIY product it probably isn't.

Yeah but if it was acid etch primer there would be warnings all over it - evil stuff, you have to be fully masked up, not good on the lungs

If you got any doubts mate just ring them up, I use autopaint sthellens all the time as i live quite local to them. Cant say what they are like with delivers etc though. When i first started learning how to spray paint the owner of the place was really helpfull with me so can highly reccomend them, he has brilliant knowledge of the products he sells too so im sure will be happy to give you advice.

If your spraying the 'bobbly' plastic on your bumpers then you might be better using a plastic primer followed by some high build primer as its alot easier to sand to a smooth finish then trying to sand the plastic.
Want good quality mirror finish smoked rear lights for you car? drop me a pm.

That stuff sounds fine for what u want to do mate.etch primer is used on panels/bare metal to prevent rust,no need to use on plastics.provided the surface is keyed and you don't rub back through after priming,it will stick fine.may I ask why ur using 1k paint after you've primed it?if Arden blue is a solid colour,2pack would be fine otherwise basecoat and laquer.
