i could do with knowing this aswell because i want to change the colour of my plastic interior parts aswell so any help and advice is appreciated
i keyed the interior bits with 400 grit wet and dry, then used plastic primer. I then rubbed the primer with 800 grit, then painted the parts with conventional car body paint (smart car pink as it was for the girlfriend) It stayed on well with no chips or cracks for over 2 years then she sold the car!!
As with any other type of painting, its all about patience and preparation.
i'll post some pictures if i can find them.
Fortune favours the Brave!!
I used plastic filler primer and normal Halfords car body paint.

As above i done sanding, plastic primer then sanding again and a topcoat of `plastikote` in spray cans.
I finished interior door handles, heater surrounds, etc in white inside an astra mk3. the finish was tough, no chips or scraches with a nice smooth surface after months
