i just cleaned my arches really well with a stiff wire brush then painted with 2 layers of brush on underseal![]()
Signature not as cool as Paul's
would i need to prime them as im wanting to paint them arden blue
ah, im not sure how to paint them in different colours, i usually just use waxoil/hammerite/stone chip paints...unless you get arden blue in hammerite?? lmao

could i just get 1 litre of arden and brush it on
so it may be easier to just do it black. hmmm. i like a challenge tho
grim i think he is talking abouy the black plastic arches on a corsa b!!!lol

no i mean the inner arches. all the plastics are colour coded. im sure iv seen cars with colour coded inner arches

i would keep it clean. really want to do them arden. is stone chip black
Clean them properly, spray with cheap primer, loads of layers and then spray with Arden blue. Don't forget to laquer. It won't last long anyway.

How good do you want the job?
If you want a really good one, then use a wire brush on a grinder to remove the old std under seal. Then re seal them with a better under seal and paint them (paint and lacquer)
If you want a good but not going that far job. Steam clean them, leave them for as long as you can to dry out (think 2weeks in the dry) then use an etch primer, then normal primer then a good few coats of paint then lacquer.
Or clean them off with a brush, and brush on the paint you have. (what paint is it? 2pac in a tin?)
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
i havent got any paint yet. i dont no what to buy. i could steam clean and leve for 2 weeks to dry.
is this any goodhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Arden...815101fe19245e
Are you doing the metal part or the plastic?

metal
I'd consider doing the wirebrush cleaning method, and then using Hammerite. You can get a close approximation as they come in loads of colours (including metallic blue, like the Arden blue). I used a brush on primer underneath as well.

i looked at hammerite colours and couldnt see anything simmilar to arden
bought some hammerite smooth blue and hammerite brush on primer of ebay so ill se what thats like
Yeah, that's the one, it'll do the job. Make sure you get all corrosion off and clean the whole arch.
