    mk2 rear 1/4

    hi everyone ive recently bought a mk2 gte it has some rot ive managed to find sills and stuff but having trouble sourcing a rear 1/4 drivers side any ideas ? cheers paul

    why do you need a quarter ? the rear arch replacement is quite big .

    They have all gone from the uk, you may be able to source one from Germany.. Try Steve (duick) as he may be able to help

    cheers ill try him, i want a 1/4 so i can do the petrol cap area as well, i also thought it would be a tidier job as i could hide alot of the welds under the rubber door seals and rear window rubbers etc and i would only need to use a small amount of filler on b and c pillers (aint to good with filler)

    oh right i see , i went scrappy and cut it out of an old car and got a engineering firm to make a new one , welded and smoothed in a treat, im pretty sure this firm can get them (quarter panel),VRS 01205 311914

    how much did they charge to make 1/4 ? i actually work at a small engineering company but we dont really do sheet metal work. we dont really get any mk2s at our scrappy we get belmonts and mk3s and stuff. i had a think about getting a daewoo 1/4 flap style ??

    is it worth trying for a daewoo nexia 1/4? too much modding required maybe not sure.

    sounds like a cool mod daewoo flap ,anyways cost me £20 for them to make it.

    just checked beevers, they don't do much for daewoooo. scrappy visit? hire a petrol disc cutter and chop the whole the rear 1/4, roof etc off a nexia? they'll be afew with the scrappage scheme....

    my friend has not long bought him self 2 genuine mk2 astra rear 1/4's that he waved in my face he traveled to Germany for them so not sure if you could get them shipped? but they are available!
