    Welding the GM inlet manifold

I want to make a custom plenum for my 1600 turbo, or rather modifying the std inlet. I want to move the throttle body from the left to the right, essentially reversing the plenum.
Whats the deal on welding cast alloy?
    it's a C20XE not a fookin Redtop FFS

Are we talking 8 or 16v?

If 16v you could use a mantzel powerbox type item to improve the flow and change the position of the tb.

I'd assume welding cast alloy is a specialist tig job.

I want to reverse the plenum from a Nova GTE. Slice the plenum chamber from the runners, turn it round & mount it back down.

Chemical metal did I hear someone say?

Nice one (pic). link is dead.

I'd rather mod the existing plenum (ive got 4) than pay a mini tuner loads for one.

Ive got a pic of what I want to do. Saw it in a euro turbo'd 8v GTE.

Well get your AC TIG out then and mod one!

Of course if you haven't got an AC TIG you'll need to find someone who will do it for you and that will cost more than buying what already exists! Mainly because no-one would want to do it.

If you want to buy your own TIG capable of doing the job then you'll need to stump up £1200 or so to buy one new...
