I used spray cans from motorworld to do mine, loads of people on here have done the same.

2002 FONTERA 2.2 TDi
all i did to mine was clean them rub them down to get a good key and then used spray cans came up just like new
As above!
Can anyone that has used the spray cans method comment on how long the finish lasted? any probs with paint pealing / cracking ??

no more likely to peel or crack than a body panel. its all in the prep.

Did my old 3 spokes (yes yes I knowOriginally Posted by Add_Gee

Important they are as clean as possible......use gunk or similar to remove tar etc .Fill any dings with metal filler and sand down smooth ....I used Devcon aluminium putty (which I got from work) then rub over with 1200 grit wet n dry......plenty of soap
If possible do the spraying in a garage or on a warm day if outside.
I used 3 cans of paint and 2 of laquer. Laquer is important as it will keep the finish.
They were still good a year later when I sold them for £60 lmao lmao
halfords do an alloy wheel spray paint, ive got it for mine cos one of my alloys is bit marked

The prep that needs to go into painting a wheel is the same as a body panel. You will get the same finish and durability.
