    Re-painting callipers?......

I painted my callipers silver a while ago and Im not too happy with the end result. I've decided to paint them red so they stand out, only problem is, can I paint directly over the previous coat of paint or do I need to strip the paint off before applying the new colour???
I've got an idea--an idea so smart that my head would explode if I even began to know what I'm talking about.

so long as its not peeling or anything over the top should be fine. I'd scuff the old paint first just to help the new paint key. Some moderately coarse sand paper or a scotchbrite pad should do the trick.
Its better to burn out than to fade away. So long as theres not a police car behind you at the time...

get a wirebrush on the end of a drill. any loose bits of paint will flake off, the rest will be nicely 'roughened' for the new paint

The paint that's on them at the moment is fine, no flakes or chips. Just didn't want to paint straight over it and then for it to peel off later. I'll probably just give them a quick rub with some sand paper just to make sure there's no loose bits. Cheers.
