    is gasless wire anygood for welding

    is gasless wire any good for mig welding how much of a better weld is produced with gas coming from a cylinder as oppossed to using gasless wire

    Ive had really good results using a gasless mig set,it also makes it MUCH easier to weld in windy conditions.

    a mate had a gasless welder he only used it a few times before converting it to gas saying it was a lot better
    if gasless was as good garages would use it

    No they would not as it costs more and gives off toxic fumes.

    yeah i know about them fumes, almost choked to death last night when welding random bits onto my mates old bike as practice

    so far its got a ren 19 backbox, mullered cv joint, driveshaft and a can of tennents welded onto it.

    Looks the business!

    Yes, but that is not a problem when welding outside in the wind, where as using gas in that circumstance is a problem. It is horses for courses.

    I find my MIG with gas easier to use on thin section, tend only to use the gasless MIG on thicker material.
    Never get an EGG credit card they do nothing to protect you if your card is subject to Fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
