    where can i refill my welder bottle with c02/argon

    apart from having to pay 35 quid registartion and 26 quid for a refill of a 2ft bottle which i will only use occassionally is there any other method by which i can get my bottle filled with c02/argon or even just c02

    will i have to register with them for the year or do i just take my own bottle in and get it refilled

    ive no idea mate, i cant see there being a problem with refilling or swapping CO2 bottles

    my local welding supply shop exchange pub size gas bottles of co2 for about 13.they last for years with just occasinal use

    if u dont do much welding why not just use the throw away bottles from the likes of Halford B&Q or the local hire shop

    depending where u go cost between 5.00 and 8.00 for Co2

    the current bottle is a black 2ft bottle has one of these large brass adaptors the type found in machine mart and not the adaptor found on the small throw away bottles.
    will i still have to buy a new adaptor for a pub bottle

    its about a M20 / 24 thread on pub bottles - and the std fitting doofer i got from a motor factor fitted straight on...

    We can`t get pub bottles filled here now,used to be 5 squids,then health and safety said no you cant put fire extinguisher grade CO2 in a bottle meant for food grade CO2,so had to buy a new bottle from the fire extinguisher place-35,then 5 a re-fill

    Well I don't use gas, only gasless, but as I work for BOC I would try to blag it if I did....

    will try and get a pic the adaptors are in the current catalogue page 92
    may have sourced a pub bottle will i have to use straight from here or transfer it to my bottle, if so how do you transfer from one bottle to another

    mine is also like this but without the extra threaded fitment, is this fitment required for the pub bottles
