C20 LET Bottom end

Not a happy chappy today folks

The bottom end on my cally just went bang in a not so pretty way.lmaolmao
Anyone know for one for me??????

Foy Bacer has one but it's £1250 which I guess is more than you want to pay

How big's the hole?

don has got loads of bits hes getting rid of im sure he still has the block

Andy your right mate that is more than I want to pay.....The hole is about the size of a Grapefruit.......Right on the oil feed for the turbo. It just looks as if the block just cracked and give way.

why not use an xe block and drill out the oil feed/return pipes then swap the internals over from nacked let block with other new rebuild parts etc

£400 job max..?

I ahve put one up mate I'm just trying to get some money together. I'm still trying to strip the engine to see how bad it really is.

Just to keep you updated I've actually got the head off as well now and I've bent four valves as well so it's a change of engine instead...... Anyone got a engine hoist I can borrow?

Right hoist is sorted thanks to donvaux

Money is sorted for the replacement engine thanks to mum.

Just got to arrange to pick up the replacement and fit it.

and whats happening with the old engine? how bad is the head, just bent valves?

The head is good I just bent four valves on number 3 as the piston top hit them. Other than the valves its in great nic. Why?

Yeah a bottom end with holes in Is about all that will remain anything resellable will be sold to pay the bill off.
