corsa b c20xe conversion?

The more i think about this the more sence it makes just wondering if anyone fancied doing it for me? (would pay obviously)

The car is a v reg 1.0 not sure on how much harder this would make it but been told the whole loom would need changing?

Just wondering about a general price really!! I've got a driveway/garage here with a good couple of tools or could leave it with you, whatever is the best.

Re: corsa b c20xe conversion?

i did think about that, but i wouldnt even know where to begin

As it stands its either:

a) try fixing the 1.0 head gasket
b) pay £300 to have some one fix it
c) pay some one to fit an XE

Before i bought the car i thought i could do it, but now its mine im not so sure

Re: corsa b c20xe conversion?

well you'll need a doner car first (better than just buying an engine out as you can hear/check it running first) get the fitting kit, a service kit for the xe, then the region can pop along with engine cranes, tools, do the job, get paid (when i got the vaux overalls on, its £20 per hour - ask andy! ) then alls good! the pontypool boys seem to have got xe'ing down to an art form now.

easy enough to do it i couldnt get over how easy it went in when i did mine, get the bits you need together (look on corsa sport etc for someone breaking one) works out cheaper. ive got a hoist here and can lend a hand no problem.
