jesus we finaly see andys nova! good nova to start with, and thats how my nova love started with a burgundy h reg mk2 5 door. i loved her to bits and hated it when she went. my was a 1.2 carb fed and it'd smoke all the local 1.3/1.4 sr's!

Had a two door nova saloon myself 1.2 carb quick as hell to 70mph. I was gutted when I blew the bottom end to bits. 4th to 2nd at 70mph. Not a good idea.

lmao my mate did near enough the same to mine, tried for 3rd at 50, missed and hit 1st, my chips i was eating at the time hit the windscreen! not a happy chap after that, so made him walk to his house (bout 2 miles away) get his car and a rope and tow me home. then he managed to ripp my front bumper off while towing it! spent 2 days in the garage being stripped and rebuilt and he payed for it too!

I've got to de-badge it before the meet as currently it's an ova thanks to some little toe-rag.

But yes when I get round to the restoration I'm not going to change much, maybe a 5 speed box, going to keep the car as original as possible (comedy steering wheel check, unsuportive seats check etc etc).

Guys' thanks for this, sadly my cash flow situation is horrific at the moment but inside a year this will be sorted and I'll have some spare cash again. It could be worse, I'm not in thousands of pounds of debt or have huge credit cards, only worrying thing is I'm a nearly qualififed accountant so I thought I was supposed to be good with money and stuff!

Adam I'll have loads of welding for you to do I expect after all it's a Nova! As for the Cally what have you got left over??

Rob you're a funking legend and your shed gag is sig worthy!!

But 65 in second?? Jeez I got 50 in second once, normally I'm into 4th by 30

no probs fella, i know what a cash flow problem is like, just wish id kept some of the stuff off my old novas. and my 1.2 was "fetteled" slightly, ran with a k&n bolt on filter and a straight through (no middle box or cat) exhaust to a magnex stainless bbox. was lowered 60 mm with astra ate brakes and on 195 50 15 alloys. i loved it - would smoke local sr's every nite of the week!

    Tickled 2.2SE2 coupe
Here is a few pics of 03 SE2 2.2. It's had a full respray in the same colour since, and a few engine tweaks.
Saving up for some 19"'s and coilovers.
