    test Post

Sorry i am posting this just to see if I can post, since I deleted my Internet history, i am now having problems logging into Migweb, particularly when i click in User CP button I am told to log in, and when i enter my password and user name in the box at the bottom, it doesn't do anything other than explains why i might be getting problem logging in, however I can go to Forums and even make posts and ;leave comments in otrher posts, but I can't seem to use the USER CP!

I am not sure if the problem is at my end or at Mig's end!

Definitely a problem, each time I click on the USER CP, it says that I am not logged in! and when i try to log in again with the same user name and password, it flashes very briefly a welcoming screen and then reverts to that i am not logged in???????????wtf. Yet I can leave posts here!

OK, I think its sorted now, all I did was referesh the page and it worked now. Thanks and sorry if I made this unnecessary thread.

    silly me! lmao

But it was definitely worth deleting the internet history files, now it seems to be working faster than the speed of light!

    Re: test Post

Sadly something is still not right, like for example this morning I automatically logged on to Mig, (Password and user name already stored on the Mig web button on my AOL Bar) and in the USER CP only my post showed, and when i opened it, the last 3 posts by SteveM, Allvaux, and GTE 16V did not show through and I had to referesh the page to do so.

Not sure what setting if any I need to change or deselect. Will probably eventually get around it. If you guys have any ideas then please "can help you me please"lmao

    Re: test Post

yes you are most probabaly right, unfortunately I am reluctant to use or try other browsers as that would mean changing my well established email address that appears on all my stationary and work related papers. And I can never get a simple email address any more by signing on to other browsers without using a 20 + letters long email address whereas now it uses just 11 letters long easy to rememeber email address for others.

Secondly the problems may be due to backward compatibility of the AOL, they keep updating their browser for improvements thinking that everyone now uses the latest Windows 7 , whilst I am still on my faithful XP.

I still have access to my (very old) AOL email address so that argument doesn't work! Bin AOL and go for something more 'with it'.

    Re: test Post

Thank you Paul, I didn't really know there was a seperate area for testing. Accept my apologetics!!

Ok, GTE 16V, not so sure if I should call you Dave, any ways, so are you saying that if I change my internet provider, which currently is AOL who charges me around £12.00 a month for absolutely unlimted use, and that if I then enrol with another internet provider such as Sky, or BT, or who ever, say for even lower amount with free local calls etc, where I will have to form a new email address, and that I could still log on to AOL email, but I was with the understanding that once you unsubscribe AOL, after 6 months they will delete your email address.

Or am I badly mistaken, such that you could still have AOL email address and stop subscribing to them and they won't delete your email address as long as it is active or activated or in use at least once every 6 months before they could delete it completely band then I might never be able to get it back again. A bit like car registeration number, which you can keep safe for as long as you want for a transfer to anothger vehicle later on even though the original vehicle may be now destroyed or scrapped, its called retention, and you pay a fee.

Or can I be with AOL as my service provider and use other browsers as my main browser and navigate the internet using another completely different browser, if so what is the best browser in your opinion mate.

sorry for being stuck with AOL and never really tried fully other browsers.

I will try FireFox if it doesn't work well you will had it Dude!

Thing now is I have to refresh every thread to see latest posts added on the thread since my last viewing! It might well be some internet setting that has been disturbed or changed, so may be it is just a question of implementing auto referesh or something along that. thanks for your help dude.

test continues still. edited using IE to see what if any improvements over AOL, and so it seems at the moment

    Re: test Post

Just to let anyone interested know that since interwebbing with Fire Fox, things are running really smoothly, uploading into photobucket, etc etc is real smooth and fast, a few hiccups at first which are to be expeceted due to various plug ins needed to run things like You tube etc, all is well amd so much pleased, but thyere were features with AOL that don't seem to be available on Fire Fox, but I can live with it. I rathjer it run fast and smooth. Another fire Fox convert!
