I am working on issues on a daily baisis, but the number of new posts issue is a major bug which vBulletin need to fix.
For those complaining, please tell me what you feel needs to be done to help things.

I know why Mike upgraded it (it was fairly complusory if he wanted MIG to remain secure) and I appreciate the effort he's put in to do all the updated but I don't get on with the VB software itself.
I used to be a regular on VXON as well before they updated - I use that maybe once a week now. Even worse was the electronics site I use to reside on - I think the last time I visited there was 2 weeks ago.
I'm not boycotting or leaving MIG but I just won't use it as much.

Dom - I've been using a lot of vB4 sites and I did get used to it. Change can be difficult, but aside from the remaining bugs (which will be fixed), there is little difference in how the software works. Is there something specific that I can change with the style that you feel would improve things?

The main issues I have is that I'm slightly dyslexic and for some reason the style/colours of the site make it a bit of a pain for me to quickly scan through. I mainly use the "new posts" function then scan the titles of the threads to see if there is anything I can help on or anything that might interest me.
The search/new posts results seem too bright and spaced out and the envelope icons to the left are too large and distracting.
Also on the search, if there are multiple pages on a thread, it would be nice to have the same as MK3OC (who annoyingly have just updated their VB) where the page numbers for quick navigation to the thread are in boxes rather than just with the light blue background. If you hover over one of the numbers on MIG it puts the square box around it but it looks a lot neater if the boxes are around all the numbers.
I think its just all the spacing thats doing my head in (as well as the afore mentioned search result problem with page and post numbering). It would be interesting to see if a resize of the icons by -20% would close a lot of the white space on the thread view/search results.

you keep blaming my browsers Mike but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the old site on the phone or on the computer, yet mysteriously at about the same time you updated it all my browsers pick up faults???? I find that hard to believe, also what's with all the overlapping in my normal browser? suppose that's a problem with my system that never exsisted before too? Baffles me how VB can release a program so ram packed with faults and bugs.
also like I said before "quick links" is no longer quick, it's no-where to be seen when you hit new posts under "whats new"
I too suffer with some of the same problems as Dom and the main things I think would help would be pretty much everything he said aswell as the thread title being a bit more bold or slightly larger aswel as dumping the "thread started" and just putting the starters name in the relevant colour.
There is nothing I can do if the browser on your phone is not compliant with the latest CSS, which vbulletin uses. What phone and browser are you using? Can you ry a different browser on your phone? It looks fine on Safari and Opera on the iPhone. Tapatalk also works very well.
I'll try and get the quick links to work on all pages.

I have reported our issues to vbulletin. Hopefully they are already on the case, as these issue affect all vbulletin 4 installation, not just MIGWeb.

I have made some changes to the images which denote new content - I've made them bluer. However, in order to see these new images, you need to clear you cache or force a refresh (Shirt and refresh I think). Alternatively, you can try this link (not 100% sure it will work though):

Gaz - there is a hack which provides a style specifically for phones. It works well, but is awaiting an update to the latest version of vbulletin (it works for 4.0.2 but not 4.0.3 which we are running). Once this is available, I'll install it and test it out.

Talking to tom about this yesterday, when using a blackberry you find all the text on the thread headings clump up on to one line and mix (even when zooming in) haven't had a chance to try MK3OC on the BB but will try later. But at the end of the day i think its the way VB4 is not fully addapted to mobile phones/PDA's yet.

Yes - you just select the mobile style like any other style (at the bottom of the page). Fingers crossed this will be running soon.

It's already out mk3oc already have it.
I find when I go back out of the page I'm on it goes to the top of main page, with all the threads on.

Strange, they are on Powered by vBulletin™ Version 4.0.3 and it works fine.
Maybe it is a different version. The one I have appears to work fine, but when posting it crashes.

Strange - it seems to be working now. Have a look (I've just turned it on). To change back to the normal style, click the "Leave Mobile Style" link at the bottom of every page.
It seems the sidebar appears on some pages with the mobile style. I'll sort a fix for this, but for now, close it before going into the mobile style and it should be fine.
