Where the hell is the search function?
You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don't do too many things wrong.

for sale templates in items and cars for sale arent working
Rob - I'm working on that. The forms are working, but the links aren't.

Not really a problem but thought i would make you aware of it.
If you click on a thread more than once.... you can change the title of anyones thread, for example.
Place your curser on a thread title and repeatedly click on the thread title, and it will become a text box. I dont know if the changes save, but it can be edited by anyone![]()

problems here if you can help/suply solutions:
when on user cp (now settings) or new posts, only half the title of the thread is displayed, like the title of this one was was ' new forum software - report' its the same with all titles of threads. also not all of the information is displayed, like the section project & restorations is displayed as 'project &' as well.
when reading through threads, when there is a quote in a post, theres a massive gap between the start of a post, (like 1/4 screen) before the quote is displayed and the the reply follows closely underneith in normal spaceing.
and mobile internet...... ****edno fancy iphone/blackbury, i have a samsung tocco, all other forums are fine on my phone and mig was just the same, but now, hardly any of the page loads, everything is over lapped, it never keeps me signed in and its unuseable, nothings displayed properly.
and obviously no user cp listed, but have found its setting now so no biggy, but could be a problem for new users.
That's how mine is on my phone^

Ben - try the Skyfire browser on your 5800 - Google it and you'll find it.
Acts as a normal browser and lets you do stuff like BBC Iplayer Radio etc - basically anything you can do with a normal browser.

And when you look at the topic title box on a forum, the last page numbers are hidden beneath an envolope sometimes and even though I cancelled the silly classified part it still loads up, probably why it's taking so long. It's a nice idea but I'm sure most people will agree that if you want to browse the classifieds then you'll go there. If you just want to look through Car Talk then you probably wont.
I just dont like it, totally puts me off using the siteplease bring back the old version.... PLEASE!
On my desktop machine now and it all seems to load fine and quick but as said its crap, seems to take ages to load on tapatalk now also, was fine for the first few days but its really slow now. Latest version is running.
Roll it back please!
Jack said,
Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.
from a moderator point, i cant see people who's status is invisable anymore and i cant view the edits of posts.
after this week of using it I've had a few issues, when listing topics in new posts or what not it doesn't highlight what can and can't be moderated like before, also half the time one of the tabs/headers won't fully load leaving a massive overlap rendering what's underneath unnatainable.
as already stated you can't get to quick links through "new stuff" and a few other headers too.
A few things fixed included, Forms are now working for for sale posts - plus the button in those forums now says "Post Advert" instead of "post new thread".

So today I go to pick up some skirts from a guy in coventry, I get there he is not in I think "I know I'll check migweb see if he sent me his number" dib dab doo what's this crap I see?
quarter tank of petrol and an hour and a half wasted, what a spiffingly usefull upgrade this was, I mean come one what was wrong with the old version but more to the point why not consult the guys paying for the site before breaking it?
I love the update ..........
I don't get on with this version of VBulletin so only visit Mig once or twice a day now to check for new posts.
And best of all, the "new posts" bug that seems to affect all of the new VBulletin forums is present here which means I get halfway though looking through the new posts and get fed up of the forum telling me I'm looking at posts 120-140 of 160 then 140-160 of 180 so mark everything read and get on with some work.
I've not spent so little time on MIG and so much time doing work for a long time![]()
