It's in relation to the copious amounts of rabbit porn the moderators look at when everyone goes to bed.

But i recon it should take a dump at more convenient time like 5am when there is no one around!!

I have been sky gazing and it was absolutely clear and nice night!

    Re: migweb down everynight???

So you used drugs to see stars inside your head!! lol

(Night before last was dead clear, with hardly any atmosphere disturbance, and the sky was sparkling with millions of stars to the naked eye, the moon was on its 1/4 pahse, so the sky was reasonably dark for London's back lighting pollution, still managed to see quite afew galaxies, star clusters, and some unique double stars that an ordinary telescope cannot resolute.)

Like you guys are into High Performance cars and with bigger horse power, I am into astronomy with a bigger 14" Meade !! and I have my own roof top observatory.LOL

Exactly, it does this every night around this time, again and again, if the change over or data dump could be rearranged at another time when there is no user traffic.

    Re: migweb down everynight???

It is probably the server back-up. I'll see if I can change the time it runs at.
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Just checked, backup runs at around 3am. Can't find anything that happens at midnight. I'll will investigate further.

    Re: MIGWeb down everynight???

Could well be to do with our IP doing something at first I thought, but then it only effects Mig web, it dodn't stop browsing other sites, yes Mig gets all stuck up, pages don't load up for several minutes at times, starts around 11.57pm and sometimes goes on well after 10 past midnight.

If I were in the middle of posting a post, and pressed the post button then everything seizes up for several good minutes, it does eventually get through though.

If you then sign off and try and come back again, then again it gets siezed up until you get bthat meassage which says problem with site contact the site administerators. which is why i did that once mike.
