iphone insurance

should be gettin my new iphone 4s later this week and was looking for insurance on it.
anyone had any experience on phone insurance?
recommend anyone?

No specific experiences with phone insurance, but what I have found looking at various packages is that phone insurance is generally a bit of a rip off, covering everything but the most likely ways that your phone becomes damaged so check the T&Cs before buying. Usually water damage is excluded and is the no.1 way to break a phone!

One top tip though is to check your household contents insurance and see if it's already covered or if it can be included for a reasonable price.

aye, usually better on contents insurance. the exclusions on phone insurance are usually stuff like, no water damage, no licensed premises, phone was not taken while unattended (well how the **** else are you going to lose it) etc

I had insurance through my network provider (orange) and to be honest the service was amazing had 5 replacement phones in a 2 year period with no problems.

if you have any other iOS devices or ahem computers (a mac is not really a computer is it?), then install the app Find my iPhone. I've been testing it out with my company iphone and ipad. You can see where the device is, remotely lock, send a message and wipe the device thats been stolen/lost.

^ that's a cool app. You can get to it via the icloud site as well. Handy for finding out which pub the boss is in.

Use geek squad insurance through carphone warehouse, covers water damage etc... I jumped in pool with it replacement next day!!!

Do you not get free phone insurance through your bank account? I do with Halifax and its great, i beat the **** out of a phone in anger and then claimed it had been run over having fallen out of my pocket, ahem, and they replaced with no issues.
