    .... and this is why I love Ubuntu .......

    Just put a new install on the machine that I've built for the workshop.

    Installed Virtualbox then a copy of XP Home as I have some software that will only run on XP

    Anyone else boot XP this fast ? lmao

    I have XP on VB on my laptop that runs 7, to run autodata and EPC etc It doesn't boot that quick but not far off

    Does VB for Win7 allow USB passthrough ? I know the one that ships with Ubuntu doesn't but the one you can download for it separately will do Serial and USB passthrough

    Really? Autodata runs but with loads of error messages and EPC doesn't want to know at all on my Win 7 machine.

    I prefer having them all separate anyway, I reformat my PC every couple of months so its much easier to transfer the VM over

    From memory, I didn't do anything special at all. The EPC is a little fiddly, have to install each package separately (although that was no different from older version of Windows anyway).
