I agree with the wave-about wand thing. I played the new Mario and half of the game is pointing the wiimote at the screen. I don't want to do this, I've never played a game where it's felt necessary, it's a pain in the arse.

I just went into Game, they are doing pre orders guaranteed to be there on release, just £20 deposit, they are also paying £20 for the wireless dongle which is pretty good too, not too keen on taking £100 on my Jasper Elite though, Play aren't guaranteeing they will be able to get them out so I might cancel my preorder with them.

Is that £100 for the console + the hard drive and acc's? I'd much rather flog it on ebay rather than earn them +50% ontop of what they buy it from you for.

I'm all set for it anyway, just recently revived a few dead RROD consoles and sold them as is with no returns + one of my laptops.

yep that's a console a 120gb HDD controller and headset as it comes, and yeah I saw the £160 markup on the Elites they have on sale preowned, I'll be selling it on ebay and get what I actually want, I too have just done a RROD for the bay with no returns (people should know what they are buying by now) got a pile of good drives too which will be getting listed too.

took the lunge and sold on my PS3 as I'm totally sick to death of waiting for GT5 and Hideo Kojima has come over to XBOX so any MGS games won't be soley PS.

that'll work no worries, theres more USB ports now too, one thing that griped me was having to plug into the front of it if I had the wireless dongle in, just looks scruffy.

I'm quite interested in how hackable it will be. Obviously the jtag is a no go (i'm still after a jtagged box btw) but wondering if the lite-on drive will be as flashable as the current lite-on's or if the HDD inside is a standard WD 250gb model

I believe the drive is being looked into right now

The hdd will still be the standard fujitsu model IIRC, the WD models only work with HDDhackr.

Pre order for S is in Game wouldnt let me do it because i'd have to pick it up at the store I ordered it in, I did it on their website and changed the address to the new one because they dont take payment till its dispatched

game in store pre-orders are a safer bet IMO, they order enough to cover all the pre-orders and X amount more, whereas the online distributer will only take in X amount and send out as many as they can but will run out fairly quickly.

this is something I don't mind going to the store for.

BTW I've heard no news that M$ are even bothered about the WD HDD hacking let alone working out how to prevent it, I seriously don't think they see it as a threat.

Yeah I didnt want to risk waiting till I move then finding out I cant pre-order one but I will still go to the store after moving, find out if I still can then cancel my online order.

MS wont ever ban the wd drives, there are so many people that have bought one and not knowing the score behind them that MS would end up with so many complaints. TBH people who generally cant afford a retail drive but buy hacked usually go on and buy DLC/points/live so maybe MS see their profit in that respect.

I have a standard box with 250gb drive, loads of warranty left, and no need for wireless adapter so I won't be getting a slim. If i had just a 20gb model with little/no warranty left and wanted a wireless setup the slim would be a smart choice.

One of my mates at work keeps debating on whether to get a PS3 or 360 and the slim has made him decide to get a 360. I still don't know if he ever will get either but there we go

HAZ! picked it up a few hours ago, had planned on going first thing but didn't get up till ten so didn't bother, picked up toy story 3 while I was there too as the missus wanted it, all in it came to £53 lmao
