Vauxhall OP-COM software required

Hi all.

Recently got myself OP-COM setup. Installed the files on my laptop and on the Adobe activation guide it says I need to run "activate password.exe" however this isn't on the files i installed.
Try to run it and the computer doesn't detect the unit, it has 3 led's on it and only the red one comes on.
Anyone got any ideas of anything i'm doing wrong or where to get the correct software for it?

ANyone know which software to download, so many options for Vauxhall there I can't tell the difference.

any of the OP COM ones, later the better, and english of course.

They are differnt versions, the date reversed is the version number.

Downloaded this one - op-com 090714 v1.39 EN full
no activation need

And still the same problem, try and activate it and comes up with "Error: Interface not found!!!
Please connect the interface to the usb port."

Do that and just the red light appears on OP-COM and it still says its not connected.

I'm using version 090820B, needs activating though, tells you how to do it on the software disc i got with my Op-Com. What operating system are you using with yours ?

try installing the USB driver again.

Sorry to hijack but which OP-COM did you buy? any recommendations/links?

er, not sure lol. Friend of mine rang me to say there was one for sale on the Skyline owners club for a good price, I told him to buy it there and then.
Same friend also managed to get it running last night, so all working now with the new software.

When i bought mine i was given instructions on how to find the activation number using win-hex, did this come with your software ?

No didn't get that with mine. Have managed to get it all going now, looks like one of the USB ports on my laptop is knackered.

you should ask the activate password from the sales where you buy it from, I have meet this "activate password" problems too,at last the sales give it to me by mail,they said this is important information of their products,so they only tell their customers.

Dave and I bought an OPCOM unit the other day after seeing loads of people doing cool stuff with theirs.
Ours won't connect though. The USB drivers install OK and it's listed in the Device Manager, but the software can't talk to it and it fails the connectivity test.
We've tried on 2 laptops, 1 netbook and a desktop PC, all the same.

Mine wouldn't work on my laptop tried everything to get it to work including installing various new drivers.
Then decided to try the second USB port and it works perfectly.

I also just got mine not long ago. sometimes people with anything newer than xp have to install the drivers manually. I had to do this first time, after i rebooted the lappy i just done a search, after saving the folder to desktop and it found it fine......strange.

If it asks for a password you won't get it. and don't email for support as opcom is a cloned version of vauxcom, meaning opcom is an illegal copy. And no i am not part of the whole "you are breaking the law" crowd as i have opcom also

It shouldn't need activation and i am running 090714

Yep we've tried 3 laptops (XP, Win7 and Vista), a netbook (XP SP3) and a desktop (Vista), all 8 USBs on the the two laptops. Still nada. Can't find out how to change comm ports which I'm convinced is the issue.

I have decided to send this unit back as faulty and try a different unit all together from a new supplier. I will keep you posted on developments.
