Nove GTE Skirt Fitting Qs

I have just bought some GTE side skirts for my Nova. I have three questions..

1) Will self tapping screws in the bottom hold them on without the need for the clips?

2) Is it OK to use smaller self tappers to chold the clips on?

3) How do i stop the shell rusting where i put the self tappers in?

1. Yes but i would suggest using some sikaflex on any lips to help bond them on.
2. Yes it would be although pop rivots would be better.
3. When you've drilled the hole, put some paint over the bare metal, spray some waxoil into the hole and over the metal work under the skirts.
