Buy a two pronged steering wheel puller especially for vauxhalls, will come straight off then.

alrighty then.......undo the central bolt but leave it conected several threads. Grap hold of the wheel with both hands and useing your wieght, wobble the fecker off. Dont get too boystrous though as you dont wanna knacker the colum bushes.
Please ensure all events queries are pm'd in my direction. Please be patient and i will get back to you very soon.

oh the run i had! This is probably yht most frustrating and draining thing I've ever done! and I didn't get it off!

In the end I took it to the bodyshop and they didnt have much luck either - my car broke their steering wheel puller.

In the end I think they took the column out and clamped it down then pulled the b*****rd off!

    lmao

Nice MOMO wheel now though - it was all worth it!

Spray a load of WD40 onto it and let it soak for about an hour. Then just bash the steering wheel from behind with the palms of your hands. It should slide/fly off at 200mph then

note -> always a good idea to leave the steering wheel nut on the top of the column by a few threads, in case the wheel opts for coming off at 200mph. That way you don't end up with a reversed Griffin badge stamped in your forehead

    Cheers,
    Kieran

Isn't there a rather 'lethal' spring that flies out when the steering wheel is removed? Double the pain.

I had the same anguish getting my anti-roll bar link onto the bar. Like getting a roll of carpet into a baby's sock.
One dog goes one way and the other goes the other.
And this guy's saying, "Whaddya want from me?"

There is a spring yes. But generally, once the steering wheel's come off, you are clasping your face in pain anyway, so the spring will just bounce of the back of your hand. Problem solved
