Post 2K spraying advice

I have just done some spraying of mirrors and Sideskirts in Flame Red using 2K and although very glossy they were a tad Orange Peely so took about finishing them.

In a book I have read to rub it down with P1200 wet and dry with soap, Then apply Polishing Compound(which must be ammonia Free for 2K).Is this just Rubbing Compound which is readily available from Halfords? I also have G10 and G4 would they be better?
This should then bring it up to a deep gloss then Finally T-Cut it and then Polish it

I have done all of this and although I've now got a nice smooth finish it isnt anywhere near glossy as the parts I havent yet finished off in fact you could say it is very hazey much like the car when it gets dirty.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Don't use T-Cut!! It's far too abrasive, contact the supplier of your 2K they should be able to supply you with proper rubbing compound, they can also tell you which grade to use. Incidentally, are you using a straight gloss or base coat and laquer? ALWAYS go for a base coat and laquer, you'll get a better deep shine and also if you screw the laquering up you can rub back the laquer as long as you dont break through to the paint. Also, always try to test an area on something other than your car first.
