    Alloy question

Just fitted Cav GSi alloys to my mk2 astra, they have 195/50's on..my old steelies had 175/70's. I was expecting the steering to be a bit heavier as they are wider wheels but its about twice as easy as it was with the steelies. Is this normal? or does it mean they arent set up right? i.e running on the edges or something? I dont want to ruin the 4 brand new tyres i just got today.

    Cheers for any advice.

Don't see any problems with that! As long as things like the tracking, toe in, pressure etc was checked by the fitter you won't have a problem. If they haven't been checked, best get them checked and adjusted if needed.

tracking was out but is sorted now, toe in (if this is the same as camber angle) cant be altered on mk2 astra's...it's just set by the shocks aparantly. and i dunno about pressure..but i'll just set them all to something average..like 28/30 psi.
