I'm just wondering how it would stand up to having the tyres changed ...... wonder if they'd **** up the paint it should be quite touch, but seeing some of the things I've seen them do to alloys... I wonder
Not got any pics of the chemical metal going on, forgot to take a pic lol
You'll have to literally scrub the surface clean to get any dirt/brake dust out of the kurbing, cos the chemical metal may not bound very well if it's got durt under it.
You have to rub down the whole alloy, to key the surface and the get any dirt/brake dust of properly. But don't have to rub down to metal.
Basically, you want to get the alloy's surface looking like you want it to look like when the paint is on, and it's all finished. Cos if you spray over a kurb mark or blemish, you will see it when the paint is on.
i filed the rough edges down with a file on the edge of the rim.
but for the deep nicks on the spokes i use stone chip filler,
