Can it be done ?

I fancy putting some astra gsi elec wing mirrors on my mark 3 astra sport which is in flame red can this be done without to much hassle and anyone know where I could go to find the parts I would need ?

a scrapyard? not an astra man myself so not sure as to whether u can fit em easily but i imagine so if u got all the bits? Can on cavs Sure someone will tell u

If yours is a 5dr, its easy, just get some door looms from a GLS or higher spec 5dr astra mk3 making sure you have all the connectors present. If you have a 3dr like mine, follow below-

Ive just done this on my 1.6 sport, first of all, check there are 21 wires in the loom that comes out the back of the dash up to the door. If so, you have the wiring for the mirrors behind the dash. There should be 14 wires on the loom going through your door. Also double check there are contacts in the fuse box where the relay pops in (top left of relays)for the heated mirror part.If you do not have the wiring present i wouldnt bother, loada hastle. Next part is to get a drivers and passengers side door looms from something like a 5dr GSL or higher spec (astra mk3). It is near impossible to find a gsi door loom in a scrappers. Then you need to extend the central locking motor conector which is at the far end of the door, not a hard job, making sure you have the wires matching colours other wise you will start shorting bits if they dont match. Once extended and soldered, check everything works properly before replacing door card. Job done.

Parts you will need are -
Mirror switch with matching connector to match door loom connector. (they made 2 different switch ends (bubbly white and square black)
Drivers and passengers door looms with clips to hold looms to the door.
Heater relay
Electric mirrors

Tools you will need -
Phillips headed screw driver
Wire cutters
Solerding iron
Solder
Insulating tape

Thanks for your help its handy you having the same car apart from mine is the 5 door version so does that mean I just get some door looms from a GLS or higher spec 5dr astra mk3 ? also sorry to sound thick but when you say just get wire looms does that mean I have to replace the whole wire loom that goes through the door and do I still need to follow any of the instructions from the bottom ? did you use the newer gls mirrors or the gsi square ones and do you think it will fit ok on my door since its smaller being 5 door version ?
