    a carrrrrrr.
ive always hated the rear bumper.

i was looking at one of these kits when i had my cav, and i decided on getting the ultra rear bumper for it.

why not try that. i reckon it looks better with the combat front.

I have to admit that i love that kit on the Cav, that particular one in the pics is just beautifull.

    Thumbs down

I personally think the front has a 'glued on' look about it
the vectra gsi lookalike front bumper looks good but's about
3 times as much.. s'pose you get what you pay for...
back looks like a standard bumper with bits cut out.

IMO it looks like its just stuck on there and doesnt suit the whole rest of the car, the skirts aint too out of place but the front and rear bumper dont do anything for me

    i dont have style? hmmm

you may have a point considering i own a nordic blue cav with white bumpers! but even a blind man with a stick wouldn't like the combat kit on a cav

Everyone has a different opinion on body styling,
I personally like jap style kits on cars like Novas if it's all
blended in right as they have angular lines to the bodywork..
the cav is all rounded and smooth so a more subtle kit and dropping it like a b**tard with big wheels is all it needs..
All the pics I've seen of members cars are dropped, debadged and some smoothed and they look smart!

Well it can look pretty good like on mine but you need to watch that front bumper! I wrecked mine twice! In the end I got PSG to custom-build one for me with about 1 1/2" taken out of it. It actually looks better as it is more in line with the rest of the car.

Also remember that there aint a lot of choice in buying a bodykit for a Cav. I'd say the combat kit is certainly one of the better ones.

Yeah chameleon your car looks very good, to be honest it looks totally different from the pic shown above, and a lot of the problem is that its not in the lines of the car! i think i'll stick to the boring old gsi kit myself though

chameleon, your car does looks the nutz. I'm not sure about the combat. From some angles it looks good, and others I think it's poo.

I didn`t think the combat kit would look that good, but when i had me side skrit stolen off the side, i thought why not give it a go, not much about for the cav anyways and this was all i could afford!
I was well pleased with the results, as someone stated earlier body styling is a personel thing, some of my mates reckon i`ve ruined it, but i like it so thats what matters the most!

    Judge for yourselfs:

Yeah it is facelift, the grill isn`t actually a combat grill it`s a GSi grill, went on no probs! Had fun trying to get the light brows to stay on though! One got nicked and one flew off at somewhere over 120!

As for the chaffing incidents, lots! Have to be real carefull, just about get it on and off Staffs Uni car park, can no longer get it up my mates street and down the ramp to the garage that does some of my mechanicing work!

Just the price i have to pay for having a low front end!

you have to put prefacelift headlights and indicators to do that .. or you do just facelift .. only asking cause i couldn't get a GSi grille to work well on mine ...

    Nice looking car there mate

I have the MCR front bumper and Skirts but didn't like the rear so went for the Combat one, I gotta say in my biased opinion it looks the nuts and would recommend it to other people.

But as usual its peoples personel opinion, and people will always stick to their guns even if they do have a change of heart they wouldn't let you know.

And please don't talk about pot holes and speed bumps I only got about 2" ground clearance!!!!!!!
I swear speed bumps and pot holes are only here to f#ck me off!!

    2" on a cav?!
Bet theres a LOT of places you can't take the car!
Looking cool and low is all fine and well as long as you only drive on an airfield or summat. Unfortunately the practicalities of REAL LIFE take precidence.
I had just under 4" on mine but because of the long overhang on a cav it was road camber at junctions that was the problem. Tho speedbumps dont help either. Like I said earlier, I wrecked mine TWICE! So got PSG to chop about an inch or so outta it. No problems since.
How the hell does yours survive with only 2"???
