    Wheel Offset's

I have 17's on my astra at the mo, they came with them when I brought the car, now the paperwork for them says that they are a et38 offset, I know that Vauxhalls should be between 45-49. The car as I can tell handles very well, bit of understeer in tight corners (but thats too much speed). I'm looking in to some new wheels and am going to get et45, but will my car have be adjusted to suit these et38 wheels i.e. tracking, toe-in/out? I am guessing that the et45 wheels will make it handle a little better then yeah?? Cheers guys

I don't think the ET on wheels has anything to do with toe-in or toe-out. It simply means the wheels stick further out from, or in towards the body.
ET45 will be better for the handling side of things, yes. There will also be less strain on the wheel bearings, hubs, CVs etc.

    Cheers
