Had a minor incident.... Need rough prices!

Hi, So hows my luck? Spent three hours cleaning the Astra this morning only to then go and stick it into the arse end of a slower Merc (literally within five minutes!!)

Need to know some rough prices on part's, be they original or pattern. Looks like I'll need a new bonnet, slam panel and the other metal framework behind the bumper. The bumper may need replacing but I won't know until I get a bodyshop to take a look. Also going to need a new grille assembly.

On the bright side though at least I can get my rear arch done at the same time

    Cheers, Paul K

Ring Auto Vaux. They offer the most competitive prices for genuine parts. Steer clear of 'pattern' slam panels/front assemblies. I have one on my car after a slight bump I had. We had to mess about with it soooo much it was untrue. Genuine only for that one I reckon.

Hi, Thank's for the advice, looks like I'll stick to genuine parts. Will check with Autovaux but their site seems to be down at the moment

Any ideas where I can get hold of a steinmetz lower splitter to fit on the original bumper? Just been reading an old Total Vauxhall and there is a GSi turbo in one of them and it look's pretty sweet!

    Cheers, Paul K

Not sure you can get hold of the 'Steinmetz' version of the splitter. There are company's doing replica versions or ones of a similar style. JMS make a nice one.

AutoVaux get genuine parts at discount prices. I'll have a hunt for their phone number. I've spent £1000's with them and they are very good.
