    rear headrests on a mk2

been looking in the archives and there is loads of stuff for the mk3 but not the mk2.

ive got the headrests and the plastic things they sit in but does
anyone know if the mk2 rear seats have this little locking pin that everyone says they click into to keep the shrouds tight ?

and is it the same process to follow.
press with your finger on you can feel the whole, stab it insert the shrouds and then put headrests on em ?
Under the Bonnet = k&n & sri exhaust from manifold.
body = gte side skirts fitted, gte rear lights, clear font indicators, de-stripped and badged.
    wheels = 14 " alloys, 195 65 14's on rear, 185 60 14's on front.
ice - american mp3 stereo, 6x9's in rear, pioneer's up front..

    The story unfolds.

Think so, I've got rears in my Mk2, but it was made like it.
    They're there, in their room.

Yep. I'm sure all the seats are the same, if you feel around on the base of the front seats, you can feel where the heated wires go!

Just have a feel around on the rear seats to make sure u can feel the hole. There were some made without the holes.

Although i have a '88 merit and i do have the holes.

Worth checking, otherwise u might rip the seat covering and discover that theres no holes

But if you find them, then yeah its as straight forward as you say.

Dan, would a merit have the loom for the heated seats?

Nope, I don't think any Mk2 has, not in this country, anyway.

I was just trying to illustrate how there is one type of seat made to accomodate rear headrests and heating pads, like.

headrests and shrouds have gone in the rear in the exact same way as described in the historical info.

holes are there, and was a 2 min job.

    cheers all.
