    Tailgate solenoid

    I've flushed me boot and wired it all up.

    The solenoid pops the boot but as known, it catches and doesn't fully release. I realise a bit of the catch has to be cut off (see original thread)

    The pics here r of a different lock.

    Anybody got a pic or know how much to cut of a 95 Astra lock cause i don't want to mess it up now it is 98% complete.

    iv done mine but its a mk2, all i cld suggest is cut a lil bit at a time and keep tryin it and just get another lock incase,dont cost alot!!

    oh and if anyone else is thinkin of gettin a solenoid from a feista dont bother!! there exactley the same as the vaux central lockin 1's that can b bought 4 a fiver, the only difference is that the fiesta ones hav a spring under the rubber cover to pop it back, which u can do!! and will save you bout £20, sly ford f'ckers!!! i onlu found that out after i bought the ford 1

    i wouldnt cut the lock it i was u
    i've got a motor that pops its up so the locks not toching the bar
    a small spring on the body with help as well
