about to paint my let block, i have stripped it bare, are there any areas that should not be painted, eg where the crank sensor seats or where the the dip stick tube sits or can i just paint the whole block

Would avoid where the gearbox bolts to as that will affect earthing if your engine earth is attached to the gearbox.
Knock, crank sensor mating surface, dip stick hole, oil pump matching surface.
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
Easy any mating surfaces should be kept nice and clean and paint free for when it all goes back together
If at first you dont succeed... CHEAT!
So crank and knock sensor area, was more concerned about the dip stick surface as a large gasket sits here,so leave this bare metal and where gearbox mates,Im using. por-15 with its own tech primer and once that sticks it isn't coming of easy

But if any oil gets under it and it will in time! then you will have a right headache stripping it down and cleaning them up again. Trust me been there

Isn't it suppose to be oil resistant, normally the oil gets under if it hasnt been preped well
