    Door Handles

My Nova will be going in for its respray soon, so I want to get all external mods done before hand so they can all be colour coded.

I dont like the standard door handles on a Mk1 Nova at all so can anyone give me some ideas on what I could do instead.

    Cheers.

Depending on what else you have done to it, Audi handles could look the absolute canines knackers on it.

in Total Vauxhall theres an advert for a place that sells Audi door handle kits. they consist of the handles in a weld in plate. all you have to do then is link up the mechanisms... and TADAA.. bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt. (this is a favourite mod with the veedub boys.) still look s**t hot though. i think the kit costs about 180sheets.

yes £180 is a fair bit to pay, but what are the chances of findin a A3/A4 in a scrap yard?! if you only wanna spend bout 30 quid, get yourself down the local scrappy and get yourself some cav/astra door handles. you could get the rears if you want some de-lockin.

the ones they advertise for £180 a pair arent a3 ones - they are the ones on the audi 80( i think) etc etc and are common as...

    Erm
    its older audis....

Went down yard yesterday- 4 pairs of audi rear handles (rear ones dont have a key hole ) in the yard- £15 per door (thats for the whole door btw)....kind of takes the piss out of venom motorsports 'kit'

Need a good bodyshop to put them in BTW.
I was going to (my m8 has them on his nova and they look the ******) but when it came to it i just couldnt be assed.

Cav handles on the nova look shite imho

    Ummm,

I am going to fix in my Astra Mk2 doors, the OPEL Omega (not the new model, the one before this version) door handles.

I will post a few pictures as soon as I got them installed.

How much would I be looking at for 2 delocked audi handles from an older car???? Will these still look good, better than standard nova ones??

How big a job is it to fit these handles??

    Cheers

If you get yer ass to a scrappy round here it will cost you £30 for the pair of doors.

To get them in you have to cut a big chunk of the door skin out and weld the handles and surrounding chunk in.

A decent bodyshop wouldnt have any probs.

Ive got a pic somewhere - ill find it
