    Mk3 Rear Headrests

Are the channels for rear headrests already in the MK3 Astra seats? If so, is it the same process as on the MK2 Astra to fit them?

I'm not sure about the saloons (these might go into the rear parcel shelf), but the hatchbacks/estate rear seats have the holes in them for headrests. It is the same as fitting them to the MK2's, just locate the holes, slit the seat material and insert the guide sleeves.

    Cheers,
    Kieran

Saloons have the same rear seat as all other mk3 astras, but some seats won't have the channels.........find the channels and it's cool..........

I've found the holes in my 40% split, but I'm having trouble with the 60% section. Is it possible that the 60 doesn't have any?
    Sorry partial thread hijack.

    PaulF,

if you found the holes in the 40 split, surely the 60 split must have some....unless, at some stage the original 60 split was replaced from a car with no holes in maybe?
The holes are pretty hard to find 'cos the foam in the seats is quite tough. I'm surprised my right thumb isn't 1/2 inch shorter than my left from searching for them in the back of an estate, lol.

Hi, Kieran. The holes are probably in there, just that the 40% side were a piece of p*ss to find using light pressure, but I couldn't feel the ones in the 60% seat using the same pressure.
I'll have another try and see if I can find em.

I seem to remember the 60 section being a lot tougher too. You'll probably discover the holes around the same moment you hear the sound of shattering bone in your thumb. lol.
