The colour theme throughout my car is black and white.
I was wondering wether to add some white bits to my dash (GTE 16V), if so what bits would you do?

Tough Question, Undecided

I wouldnt.
There are a few cars round here where they have painted certain removeable parts of the dash like heater knobs, vents etc etc, basically anything that comes off easilly is painted.
While this can look good in certain applications I think it looks a bit cheesy in the majority of cars.
Whats worse is if the parts are sprayed badly or the paint flakes off after a while.
I'm with you on that one. Leave it be Mav.Originally posted by david dickson

Ok what about carbon coverings?
Naaaa paint and Carbon coverings always look complete tat !!!
Don't do it mate... It'll only bloody peel off after two months anyway![]()
Wasnt thinking of going OTT with it, just the vents and some small touches like that.
Just want to put a bit of life into the dash.
Hmmm bit of life.... Fit a Mk3 Dash... That'll wake it up !!!
Mate, if you want to see what it'll look like.
Take a picture of the dash with your Digicam...
and colour it using Photoshop or something, then you can see whether you like it...

You carry on but leave the dash alone. Thats my oppinion though. At the end of the day it's your car and your choice![]()

Oh and the door cards would get done too
i wudnt use white, use silver, will look much more classy, and wont look out of place with black dash and white car.
try this, go to scrap yards and buy things such as vents, heater controls and fit these that look a bit different into you existing vent positions, hence making the dash look a bit newer.
may work, may not, but you can always fit the original stuff bak in if it dont work

Total Carlton (Carlton Forum)
small sections of dash done with carbon fibre film can look nice, but only do it on flat sections as it generally looks tat when stretched over curves.
The reason I never bought the first GTE I went to see. The red paint on bits of trim - Horrid !
If I buy a Cavalier Turbo and use it daily will it last forever ?
