if u get the correct offset wheels then u can lower ur car upto 60mm without scrubbing...
i have 80mm drop on 16s and have never experience any scrubbing why because the wheels are the correct offset for my car...
its all down to the wheel offset matey![]()
How do you work out the offset to your car![]()

right mk 4's........you want as with most vauxhalls as near to possible ET 49 but with the mk 4 you can go anywhere between ET 40-49.....if you want 18's on and yyou want it low...get ET 45-49 7.5 x 18 and you should be able to get a 60mm drop at the front and 40/50mm at the rear with no scrubbing at all.
I have got 7.5 x 19's ET 42 droped 60/40 but i had to have the arches rolled and a bumper mount changed slightly but they dont catch.
More info on wheels on www.astra-sport.co.uk as lots of mk 4 owners are changing wheels at the moment.
