New To The Low Profile Big Rims Scence - Tyre Help Please

Well after getting rid of my clio which uses 195/50/15 tyres and getting an astra VXR which uses 225/35/18 tyres i have had quite a shock on tyres prices. I used to get them from cam skill.

Can anyone recommend anywhere that does decent quality tyres at a resonable price. I normally ran either BG goodrich or Toyo T1R's on the clio. Im finding i could get a full set for the clio compared to 1 tyre for the astra

Any recommendations on what to run? I dont skimp of tyres so aslong as they are not redicously soft and expensive.

    Opinions please.

    Thanks Dan

The choices you mention are still good choices for your new car like they were on your clio, they are just dear because of the size.

You will just need to get used to the price im afraid mate, you arent going to find a tyre that seems sensible money to your current line of thinking which drives well.

    Vxr thrills, Vxr bills lmao

Ohh no i totatally appreciate that i knew they were going to be pricey regardless because of the size as i reckon the maintenance on the car will be expensive. Im just trying to familiarise myself with places that are cheaper than other places. Like i knew every place to go with regards to the clio i just want to do the same for the VXR.

I find that asking local companies for a "Cash Sale" works wonders in keeping prices down.

    It certainly does.

Black circles may be able to help you out. I have never bought 18"s from a dealer so wouldn't know of their prices.
