I took my MK1 GTE in for a blow-over cos I couldn't afford a bare metal respray. It cost less than half of what a bare metal respray should have cost, I think it was under £500 although all the panels were different colours so yours might work out cheaper.

That was with the car stripped though so any additional cost could be incurred from removing trim, masking off windows etc. etc. on your car. Hope this helps.

i JUST HAD MY CAR RE-SPRAYED IN THE SAME COLOUR, IT COST ME £400, BUT THIS WAS A FRIEND OF MY DADS, AND WE DID HELP HIM A LITTLE. i ALSO HAD A FEW SCRATCHS THAT NEEDED ATT AS WELL, BUT IS IS VERY REASONABLE, AS THERE IS STILL A LOT OF WORK INVOLVED.

Price up the paint, price up the rent of a Spray kit,
Price up the consumables (tape, cleaner, tack rags, carbon filter masks, etc)
Get some old wings from a scrappy have a practice.
Do it yourself for 150 quid plus your time.

Or are you too scared. I was, so I went on a car paint and body work evening course 13 weeks x 3 hours for 60 quid.

That 60 quid has saved me 100's of pounds, 2 minis, 2 motor bikes, and wings and things and bit and pieces over the years.
If I buy a Cavalier Turbo and use it daily will it last forever ?
